What does business type mean?
Business type is the legal structure the business is registered under with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). It can be one of the following:
BUSINESS_NAME: A business registered under a business name, usually owned by a sole proprietor or partners.
COMPANY: A business registered as a company.
INCORPORATED_TRUSTEES: A body registered under incorporated trustees, such as a church, mosque, association or foundation.
LIMITED_PARTNERSHIP: A partnership with at least one general partner and one limited partner.
LIMITED_LIABILITY_PARTNERSHIP: A partnership where each partner’s liability is limited.
LIMITED-LIABILITY-COMPANY: A company where the owners’ liability is limited to their shares.
NGO: A non-governmental organisation.
